Groove Pool is an early stage startup currently only open to friends, family and potential partners. This document will expand as it grows.

What Is Groove Pool ?

Groove Pool is a platform for producers/djs to store, share, and promote their unreleased music. Groove Pool is packed with features around version control, peak previews for social, and fine-grained access controls to share your music with friends, fellow producers, and labels. Groove Pool is built by producers, we are focusing Groove Pool around improved workflows, helping collect better feedback, and improving the sharing process.

What has been built so far?

We're moving fast! Our first MVP focuses on cloud storage, project syncing, version control, and permissions. This includes things like:

  • - Artist creation.
  • - Upload private tracks.
  • - Streaming/playback.
  • - Version control for managing your countless versions of a piece of music.
  • - Link expirations.
  • - Permission groups for sharing unreleased music with your tight circle.
  • - Instagram story Integration to quickly share private snippets
  • - An Ableton Max For Live Device to sync project exports and project stats directly to Groove Pool.

Whats coming next?

We have some even more exciting improvements coming later, but we are currently sprinting towards testing our MVP with djs and producers that are outside of our team. Why would someone use Groove Pool when there are bigger and more established options?

Groove Pool can offer a few things the big guys cannot.

  • Less Money. Groove Pool is a small operation with lower costs. We can beat them on price.
  • Technology. We're building from the ground up with the learnings we've developed over years of using what's out there. Frankly: we can build a better product.
  • DIY roots. Groove Pool is a DIY dj/producer owned and operated company. We are its first testers and users and our requirements are always paramount. This is a stark contrast to the rest of the market, where the major players are all publicly traded mega-corporations.
  • Obsessed with your work. Not in a weird way, don't worry. The only way for Groove Pool to succeed is for you to succeed, and we are committed to making that happen. We are always available to answer questions, take feedback, solve problems, and help you out.
  • Different is good. Diversity of perspective leads to better outcomes. Competition is good for the market, good for artists. We do not accept that we should all be using the same few corporate platforms store and share our work.
